The Greyhound Club is the charitable giving arm of Assumption College Athletics and operates under guidelines prescribed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Northeast-10 Conference.
The college is committed to supporting the athletic department and the continued improvement of the college’s intercollegiate athletic teams. In addition, your contributions through The Greyhound Club have played a key role in making other improvements possible. These improvements include the construction of a varsity weight room, complete renovations of the varsity locker rooms in Laska Gym, the installation of HD cameras at the Multi-Sport Stadium and Laska Gym, and the promotion of many head coaches to full-time status.
Operational budgets have remained level, making your support that much more important as these donations have a direct effect on every student-athlete. Travel, for example, is a major expense. Each year, Assumption teams travel over 30,000 miles and compete in 10 states up and down the East coast. We recruit nationally and internationally, with 18 states and 10 countries represented on our varsity rosters. This requires coaches to scout and meet with student-athletes everywhere and to bring prospects to campus for official visits.
As alumni, parents, supporters and friends of the college, you are making a difference in the lives of over 550 student-athletes on a daily basis. The needs our programs have are endless, but equally are the opportunities to make an impact. From the jerseys they wear to the buses they ride, you help make it happen.
