Greyhound women basketball ranked in regional pollJanuary 27, 2010
The Northeast-10 Conference has five institutions ranked in the first edition of the N.C.A.A. Division II womens basketball regional rankings as released Wednesday by the N.C.A.A. Division II Womens Basketball Committee.
Franklin Pierce University, ranked No. 1 nationally in the recent USA Today/ESPN WBCA Division II National Top-25 poll, led the way as the top ranked team in the East region. Holy Family University of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) is ranked second, followed by Stonehill College and Bentley University. L.I.U.-C.W. Post of the East Coast Conference (ECC) rounds out the top five.
The rest of the rankings fill out with Pace University at number six, followed by the University of Bridgeport and Dowling College of the ECC ranked seventh and eighth respectively. Molloy College, also with the ECC, is ninth, while Assumption College rounds out the poll at tenth.
