MANCHESTER, NH -- Senior guard JENNY MC DADE (Derry, N.H.) scored 13 points to lead Southern New Hampshire University to a 56-47 non-conference women's basketball win over Assumption College at the SNHU Fieldhouse Sunday.

SNHU remained undefeated at home this season (5-0), improved to 7 4 overall. The Greyhounds, who are receiving votes in the latest WBCA Division II poll, saw a four-game win streak snapped and are now 7-2 overall.

Freshman forward SLOANE SORRELL (Berwick, ME/Noble) scored 10 points and senior forward ASHARA CARRINGTON (Marblehead, MA/Marblehead) added nine points and 13 rebounds.

Freshman guard GABRIELLE GIBSON (Amityville, NY/Copiague) was the lone Greyhound in double figures with 15 points. Freshman guard KATY HOWARD (Medway, MA/Medway) added eight points.

SNHU led 30-17 at halftime and 38-21 four minutes into the second half following a pair of free throws by Sorrell, but the Hounds would hold the Penmen to just one field goal in a stretch of 8:27 to pull within three, 40-37, with 7:31 to play on a Gibson layup.

The Greyhounds are next in action at the Pace University Mixer (December 28-29) when they play Felician, NJ and Bloomfield, NJ.
