Saint Anselm defeats Ice Dogs in NE-10 championship
March 6, 2010 MANCHESTER, NH --- Junior forward COLEMAN NOONAN (Norfolk, MA/Catholic Memorial) and TUCKER MULLIN (North Andover, MA) each scored two goals and added an assist as top-seeded Saint Anselm College defeated Assumption College, 10-1, in the Northeast-10 Conference championship game Saturday at the Hawks Arena. Junior goalie ALEX WYSE (Amherst, NY) made 15 saves in net for the Hawks, who completed their season at 15-11-1. Larsen, Blanchette key Ice Dogs past St. Mike's into NE-10 final
March 3, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore goalie NICK BLANCHETTE (Stuart, FL/Worcester Academy) made a career-high 55 saves and sophomore center TAYLOR LARSEN (Blackstone, MA/Worcester Academy) had two goals and two assists as Assumption College defeated Saint Anselm College, 5-1, in the semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs Wednesday at the Buffone Rink. Pat O'Kane named NE-10 Player of the Year!
March 3, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore right wing PAT O’KANE (Hollis, NH/Bishop Guertin), who led the Northeast-10 Conference in goals, power play goals and shorthanded goals, was named the co-Player-of-the-Year for men’s ice hockey, while second-year coach LANCE BRADY is the Coach-of-the-Year. O’Kane and Brady are most responsible as the Hounds finished their regular-season 14-10-1 overall and 8-2-1 in the conference. The team finished in second place earning a first-round bye in the postseason tournament.
