WORCESTER, Mass. - After upsetting No. 3 seed Adelphi earlier this week, the Hounds will travel to North Andover, Massachusetts to face No. 2 seeded Merrimack in the NE10 Semifinals match.
On Tuesday, the Hounds faced Adelphi and won 5-3. Senior Marco Leung (Macao/ The International School of Macao), junior Ryan Foster (Bloomfield, Conn./Classical Magnet), and sophomore Danny Waung (Bolton, Conn./ East Catholic) all went 2-0 to lead the Hounds to victory.
The Hounds are led by senior Chris Waung (Bolton, Conn./East Catholic) at No.1 singles with a 5-6 overall record. Foster and Leung have both recorded a 7-4 record at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, while D. Waung has a 6-5 record. In doubles, C. Waung and Leung pair for a 6-5 record while Foster and D. Waung are 4-7. Seniors Tom Knight (Wilbraham, Mass./ Minnechaug Regional) and Casey Hodor (North Kingstown R.I./Bishop Hendricken) have a 3-6 record at No. 3 doubles.
The Warriors are led by Freshman Alex Federov who has a 14-6 record, while his doubles partner junior Frank Vega adds a 12-6 record. Senior Nick Majewski has a 13-5 overall record. Federov and Vega have combined for ten wins in doubles play while Mikhail Belov and Majewski pair for a 14-7 record.
Merrimack and Assumption already faced each other once this season which resulted in an 8-1 Warrior victory. Knight and Hodor won the only Hound match at No. 3 doubles.
