  • Holmes Claims NE10 Swimmer of the Week Honors

    WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Abbey Holmes (Laurel, Md. / Archbishop Spalding) of the Assumption swimming & diving team has been named the NE10 Swimmer of the Week, while sophomore Colleen Kurtz (Somerset, N.J. / Rutgers Preparatory), freshman Anne Guadalupi (Augusta, Maine / Cony), junior Morgan Nicholls (East London, South Africa / Clarendon) and Holmes earned Relay of the Week honors for their performance at the WPI Gompei Invitational.

    The Lead: The Assumption swimming and diving team concluded the first two days of the WPI Gompei Invitational in second place behind a number of outstanding performances in the pool, led by a new school record in the 50 butterfly by sophomore Natalia Kaczor (Chicopee, Mass. / Chicopee).

    The Lead: The Assumption women’s swimming & diving team defeated Division I Sacred Heart today, exacting revenge after falling to the Pioneers last year in Connecticut. The Hounds continue their dominance at home, as they have not lost in 19 straight meets, dating back to November 2011.

    The Lead: Sophomore Abbey Holmes (Laurel, MD / Archbishop Spalding) captured her first Holy Cross Pentathlon title on Saturday at the Hart Center in the 2017-18 season opener. Holmes led the Hounds, who claimed 17 out of the top 25 places.
