February 28, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Senior members of the Assumption College women’s swimming and diving team were honored at a halftime ceremony during the women’s basketball first-round playoff game with Southern New Hampshire Sunday. First-year swimmers dominate for Hound swimmers at NEISDA
February 21, 2010 WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. --- Assumption College dominated by first-year swimmers finished sixth in the NEISDA championships this weekend at the White River Athletic Club. The Hounds totalled 344 points---an increase of 203 points from their 2009 first-year effort. Freshman swimmers JENNIFER RYAN (Weston, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas) (91.5 points), AMANDA GUY (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet) (84.5 points) and KAITLIN OWEN (Bridgewater, MA/Coyle Cassidy) (58.0 points) were the “big three” for the Hounds totalling 234 points, while sophomore JILL CAPADANNO (Dracut, MA/Dracut) finished with 68.5 points. Greyhounds sixth in Northeast-10 swim championship
February 8, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. --- The Assumption College women’s swim team led by freshman JEN RYAN (Weston, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas), sophomore JILL CAPADANNO (Dracut, MA/Dracut) and freshman AMANDA GUY (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet) finished sixth in the Northeast-10 Conference championship this weekend hosted by Southern Connecticut. The Owls won the conference title with 988.50 points followed by St. Rose (732.50), Le Moyne (524.00), Bentley (483.00), Pace (387.00), Assumption (306.00), St. Michael’s (271) and Adelphi (164). Capadanno leads Greyhound swimmers at city championship
January 23, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Freshmen swimmers were once again the standouts as Assumption College took fourth in the Worcester Collegiate Swimming & Diving Championship Friday and Saturday at the College of Holy Cross. Holy Cross dominated the event with 629 points followed by Clark (468), WPI (276.5) and the Greyhounds (242.5).
