Nine Greyhounds Score in Win Over Emerson

Hilton Head, S.C. (March 7) -- The Assumption College women's lacrosse team defeated Emerson College, 18-7, to improve to 3-0 on the season on Thursday morning. It is the fourth time the women's lacrosse team has started a season 3-0, with the last time coming in 2002.

Sophomore's Amy McNeil (Orange, Conn. / Amity) and Lindsay Hagerman (Scarborough, Maine / Scarborough) each scored four goals, two of nine Greyhounds to record goals in the victory.

Freshmen Molly Brown (Manchester, N.H.)Alicia Cardella (Orange, Conn. / Amity), and Tess Anketell (Southborough, Mass.) each recorded their first career goals for the Greyhounds, while senior's Michelle Santos (Holliston, Mass. / Holliston) and Steph O'Rourke (Amherst, N.H. / Souhegan) each scored two goals, while Santos, Cardella, Camille Auger (Kennebunk, Maine / Kennebunk) each tied for a team-high three assists.

The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, March 13th against Queens College. The game will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass.
