Abbey Capobianco Named Women's Lacrosse Coach

July 15, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Former Bentley University assistant coach ABBEY CAPOBIANCO has been named the women’s lacrosse coach at Assumption College. The announcement was made by Ted Paulauskas, Director of Athletics. Capobianco replaces Linda Drapeau who coached the Greyhounds from 2007-10. Capobianco is a former standout collegiate performer for both Central Connecticut State University (New Britain, CT) and the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA). She spent the 2010 season as an assistant for Northeast-10 Conference rival Bentley University. [READ MORE]

Lupien, Colebrook, King Cited by Northeast-10 Conference

June 7, 2010 Assumption College senior basketball standout LESLIE LUPIEN (Pomfret Center, CT/Woodstock Academy) and senior baseball standout MICHAEL COLEBROOK (Leicester, MA/Saint John’s) have been named the 2010 Northeast 10 Conference Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Year as selected by the conference Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR) Council. In addition, Greyhound sophomore lacrosse standout MARY KING (Waltham, MA/Waltham) was presented the 2009-10 Female Sportsmanship Award. A.I.C. stops Greyhound women's lacrosse in overtime

May 1, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Senior midfielder KATIE WARNER (Westfield, MA/Westfield) scored the lone goal of the second overtime to lead American International College past Assumption College, 16-15, in Northeast 10 Conference women’s lacrosse action here Saturday at the Multi-Sport Stadium. Roos late goal lifts womens lacrosse past Southern Connecticut

April 28, 2010 WORCESTER, Mass. --- Junior defender SARAH ROOS (Feeding Hills, MA/Agawam) scored with 3:53 remaining in the game to lift Assumption College past Southern Connecticut State University, 15-14, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s lacrosse action Wednesday night at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
