      <description>EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. ---  Senior LAUREN KEATING (Nashua, NH/Nashua North) made five saves as Assumption College opened its women's soccer season with a 1-1 double-overtime tie with East Stroudsburg University FRIDAY night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.  The Greyhounds will face Kutztown, PA (1-0-0) SUNDAY at 1:30 p.m. in the second day of action in the East Stroudsburg Mixer.  Kutztown is ranked No. 22 in the NSCAA preseason poll and defeated Concord 7-0 in the other first-round game.</description>

The Greyhounds are now 6-8-1 overall and 6-6-1 (19 points) in the conference, while Stonehill, with its fifth straight victory, moves to 9-7 overall and 7-6 (21 points) in the conference.</description>

The Hounds are now 6-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the conference, while Adelphi is 8-4-1 and also 6-4-1. The Hounds are tied with Merrimack (6-3-1) and Adelphi for fourth place in the standings. Merrimack does play Franklin Pierce (9-2, 27 points) Wednesday night. The top eight teams make the conference postseason playoffs.</description>

      <description>WORCESTER, Mass. --- Junior goalkeeper LAUREN KEATING (Nashua NH/Nashua North) posted her second straight shutout and fourth overall with three saves as Assumption College defeated Le Moyne College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action WEDNESDAY at the Multi-Sport Stadium. With the victory the Greyhounds, now 4-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play have 12 points (3 points for each win) an are tied for fifth place in the standings with Merrimack and Saint Anselm.  The top eight teams earn a postseason playoff berth.  All four of the wins this season have come as the result of shutouts by Keating.  Le Moyne is now 6-3-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the conference (11 points).</description>

      <description>WORCESTER, Mass. --- Sophomore forward TINA GILLEN scored the game-tying and game-winning goals as Assumption College women's soccer team upset nationally ranked Southern New Hampshire University, 3-2, TUESDAY night in the Multi-Sport Stadium. SNHU came into the match ranked No. 17 in this week's NSCAA national poll (and third in the regional poll). The Greyhounds are now 6-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play, while Southern New Hampshire is now 6-2-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the conference.  The Penmen win streak ended at six straight. The Greyhounds are 4-1-1 over their last six games. Gillen tied the game at 2-2 for the Greyhounds at 64:01 collecting a header pass from junior midfielder KELLEY DE WALT and blasting a low line drive into the left corner.  She then scored the game-winner with just 3:26 left.  She took a crossing pass from freshman forward KIRSTEN CHIRICHETTI and scored over a prone Southern New Hampshire goalkeeper STEF YOUNG. Gillen now has four goals this season.</description>

The Greyhounds evened their overall record at 2-2 and 1-1 in the conference, while Pace fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference. 	Sophomore goalkeeper LAUREN KEATING, who shutout Georgian Court in the opener (1-0) made two saves in 72:20 before junior KATELYN DOLAN finished up. Keating lowered her goals-against avergaae to an impressive 0.72 for 372 minutes.</description>

      <description>WORCESTER, Mass. ---  Freshman forward JAMI STRYCULA scored the lone goal on a scramble as Assumption College opened its women's soccer season with a 1-0 non-conference win over Georgian Court in the Assumption College Second Annual NIKE-Crowne Plaza Friendlies FRIDAY night at the Multi-Sport Stadium. In the first friendly, L.I.U.-C.W. Post defeated The College of Saint Rose, 2-1. 	In the second day of action of this mixer style tournament Sunday the Greyhounds will play L.I.U.-C.W. Post at 4 p.m.  Saint Rose and Georgian Court, NJ will square off in the opener at 1 p.m. at the Multi Sports Stadium.</description>

      <description>BRIARCLIFF, NY ---  Senior goalkeeper LAUREN MATYSIAK made five saves to post her 30th career shutout leading Assumption College past Pace University, 1-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer action here WEDNESDAY. The game-winning goal by junior defender ELISE HENNRIKUS --- her first career goal --- came with just 25 seconds remaining in the contest.  Hennrikus took a nice feed from senior captain/forward ASHLEY MC MAHON and soloed in on Setter's goalkeeper ALEXA D'AGOSTINO and beat her to the far post. The play was started as the Setters were whistled for a foul just outside the goalie box.</description>

      <description>Senior goalkeeper LAUREN MATYSIAK registered her 28th career shutout among her 36 career wins AND freshman KRISTINA GILLEN scored her first collegiate goal as the Assumption College women's soccer team defeated Georgian Court, NJ, 1-0, in the first-round of the Hilton Garden Inn Friendly at the Multi-Sports Stadium FRIDAY night.  In the opener Northeast-10 Conference rival Bryant University played a double-overtime 1-1 tie with L.I.U.-C.W. Post. The mixer continues Sunday as Bryant will play Georgian Court at 12 noon and the Greyhounds take on L.I.U.-C.W. Post at 3 p.m.</description>

The Hall of Fame inductees were chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Hall of Fame committee and were formally inducted at the Northeast-10 Awards Banquet at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston June 4.  The ceremony also included the presentation of the Northeast-10 Scholar-Athletes of the Year, as well as the awarding of the President's Cup. Greyhound tennis standout MATT STOPP '07 received his male Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.</description>

Tennis standout MATT STOPP and soccer star KRISTIN CANNON received the Desautels Memorial Awards as the premier senior student-athletes, while football's JARED KELLY, tennis' ANTONIO RECALDE and basketball's CHARDE FLOYD are the Andrew Laska Award winners as the Athletes of the Year.  In addition the department announced the individual sport Most Valuable Players, 2007-08 team captains and recognized all four-year student-athletes.</description>

The Golden Knights were ranked No. 1 in last week's New England regional and No. 7 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) polls.  They were the last unbeaten team in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Golden Knights are now 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference. The Greyhounds are now 4-4-3 overall and 3-3-3 in the conference.  They are now tied with Stonehill College for the eighth and final playoff spot.</description>

      <description>WORCESTER, Mass. --	Assumption College senior forward ANDREA MARCOCCIO (Warwick, RI/Pilgrim) leads the Northeast-10 Conference in game winning goals and sophomore goalkeeper LAUREN MATYSIAK (Holden, MA/Wachusett) leads the conference in "zeroes." And therefore, the Greyhounds for the second straight week are ranked third in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II poll. They are one of only five teams in the nation to still be unbeaten and they are ranked No. 1 in the regional poll. Last week Marcoccio scored the game-winner---her sixth clincher of the season---as the Greyhounds won their first-ever home night game over conference rival Saint Anselm (2-1). And, then Saturday played a 110 minute scoreless draw with 23rd ranked Saint Rose on the road. Matysiak posted her seventh shutout---in 10 games---with three saves.</description>

Post-Graduate Scholarship.  Reyell, the 'heart-and-soul' captain (2003 and 2004) and leader of the team, was the major part of the No. 1 defensive team in the Northeast-10 Conference.  She earned first-team all-conference honors in 2004 and 2003 and was a second team all-New England selection in 2003. She was also the Defender-of-the-Year in the conference and was also a second-team CoSIDA academic all-region performer.</description>
