WORCESTER, Mass. – Following a pair of strong performances in their opening meet of the year, junior Kialeigh Marston (Standish, Maine / Bonny Eagle) and freshman Grace Corbett (Merrimack, N.H. / Merrimack) were named the NE10 Runner and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Marston was Assumption's top finisher and the faster Division II runner at the Nassaney Invitational hosted by Bryant this past weekend. The junior finished the course in 18:31.4, nearly 30 seconds faster than the next closest Division II runner in the event.

Corbett was impressive in her first collegiate race, placing 27th overall and second for Assumption in the Nassaney Invitational with at time of 19:06.7. She was the second-faster freshman in the entire race, trailing just a first-year from Holy Cross who placed 24th in 19:03.6.

Assumption returns to action on Sept. 22 when the team competes in the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park.
