HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Assumption University men's cross-country team had their best finish in program history, as the Greyhounds finished second at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Sunday morning at Hopkinton State Fair Grounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Joseph Carroll started strong, as the Senior was the first runner to cross the 2K mark at 6:13.43. Halfway through the race, he dropped one spot, but Evan Laws considerably jumped from 31^st to 21^st. At the 6K mark, the Hounds started to increase their scoring position, with Timothy Curtin and Jackson Terenzi moving up three and four spots, respectively. 
 
Down the stretch, Assumption made a late push to finish second overall. Carroll made a move from seventh to fifth. Laws jumped one to take 17^th, while Manna (23^rd), Medeiros (37^th), Terenzi (41^st), and Curtin (42^nd) rounded out the scoring for the Hounds. 

UP NEXT

• Cross Country heads to Rochester, New York, on Friday, November 8, to compete in the NCAA East Regional.
