LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas. - Nominees for the 2025 Harlon Hill Trophy were announced on Tuesday, November 25. The Harlon Hill Trophy is awarded annually to the top NCAA Division II football player. Players must be nominated by their school's sports information director, and each school may nominate one player. This year's nominees include 36 players.
Kastantin was named the Northeast 10 Conference Most Valuable Player, All-NE10 First Team, and All-New England. He is the first Assumption player to win MVP since Khaleed Exum-Strong in 2021. He completed 138 of 223 passes this season (61.9%), while leading the conference in passing yards (1,974), passing touchdowns (19), and passing yards per game (219.3). Kastantin also had 100 carries for 530 yards (5.3 yards per rush) with five more touchdowns on the ground. His passing efficiency of 159.9 ranks 18th in all of Division II.
The initial list of nominees will be voted on regionally, with two regional candidates advancing as finalists. Votes are cast by the Division II sports information directors from the institutions that sponsor football. The next round of voting will conclude by December 1
st, with national finalists announced shortly after. The 2025 Harlon Hill Trophy winner will be announced on Friday, December 15, the night before the national championship game. The winner will officially be presented with the award at the annual Little Rock Touchdown Club awards banquet on Friday, December 13
th.
