Women's Rowing Starts The Season Strong

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption women's rowing team started its 2018-19 season with a strong performance at the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford this past Saturday.

The Varsity 8 boat raced to a time of 21:28.52 while facing a very strong current, to place 10th out of 19 boats. The team races well down the whole course and were able to close the gap on some of the boats ahead of them. The second Varsity 8 boat featured a number of novices who were competing in their first collegiate competition.

Assumption returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 13 when the team will race in the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta. The Varsity 4 will kick things off at 9:36 a.m., followed by the V8 at 10:35 am and finishing the day will be the Novice 8 at 10:47 am.
