Rowing Competes Against Mt. Holyoke & Coast Guard

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Assumption women's rowing program had a pair of solid performances, despite the poor racing conditions in racing against No. 15 Mount Holyoke and Coast Guard on Saturday morning.

The Varsity 8 raced at 8:40 a.m. and came in third with its time of 8:52.8. Mount Holyoke won in a time of 7:58.5 while Coast Guard placed second in 8:00.0. In the Varsity 4 race, the Lyons' A and B boats took first and second while Assumption's Varsity 4 took third. The 2nd Varsity 4 was blown out of alignment at the start of the race and was unable to complete the race.

Assumption returns to action next weekend when they compete in the NE10 Invitational on Lake Quinsigamond beginning at 7:30 a.m.
