Andrew Laska Gymnasium
Laska Gymnasium has served as the home of Assumption University Athletics for decades, providing a true home-court advantage and a vibrant gathering space for the Greyhounds community. Located in the heart of campus, the facility is the home arena for Assumption’s men’s and women’s basketball programs, women’s volleyball, and a variety of campus events. The gym also houses the athletic department's main offices, as well as the coaches' offices, locker rooms, athletic training room, and equipment room.
Opened in 1962, Laska Gymnasium is named after Director of Athletics Emeritus Andrew Laska, who was also the longtime men’s basketball coach at the College. Refurbished and re-dedicated on September 26, 2009, the gym seats approximately 1,500 fans in a classic bowl layout that places spectators close to the action, creating one of the most energetic game day environments in the Northeast-10 Conference. Laska is known for its electric atmosphere, highlighted by the Greyhound "Hound Pound student section, which gives Assumption teams a strong boost during competition. Laska Gym is regularly regarded as one of the top home-court advantages in the league. The lobby features an extensive trophy case and is also home to the Assumption Athletics Hall of Fame.
