NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Assumption woman's tennis team picked up a key conference win on Sunday, defeating the Yellow Jackets of American International 8-1.

Sophomore Erica Micciche (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) won at number one singles, defeating junior Angie Rassias (Melbourne, Australia)  8-4. At number two singles, senior Grace Fox (Warwick, R.I./Toll Gate) defeated junior Amanda McLean (Branford, Conn.), also by a score of 8-4.

The Greyhounds improved to 5-8 overall and 5-6 in the NE-10, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 0-11 overall and 0-10 in conference play. Assumption plays next this Tuesday as the team heads to Saint Ansem.
