Colchester, Vt. -- The Assumption College men's tennis team defeated Saint Michael's College, 5-4 on Sunday, clinching a berth in the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs.

At number one singles, senior Tariq Sheikh (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) defeated freshman Nick Bosco (Glastonbury, Conn./East Catholic), 6-3, 6-4. At number three singles, sophomore Matt Drolet (Cumberland, R.I./Mt. St. Charles) defeated sophomore Kenny Vassallo (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington), 6-3, 6-3.

Assumption finishes its regular season at 5-9 and 4-7 in the Northeast-10.
