Worcester, Mass. (April 12) -- The Assumption College women's tennis team swept the University of New Haven, 9-0, at the Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club on Thursday afternoon.

Junior Erica Micchiche (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) won her match at number two singles in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, while Jen Erickson (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) picked up a victory at  number three singles, 6-0, 6-1.

The Greyhounds also swept the doubles competition, losing five total games in three matches.

Assumption improves to 7-12 overall and 4-7 in the Northeast-10 Conference and will return to action on Friday, April 13 against Franklin Pierce University. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Assumption Tennis Courts.
