Worcester, Mass. (December 10) -- Assumption College freshman guard Marcus Murray (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) has been named as the Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Rookie of the Week for his play in two games last week.

Earning a spot on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll, Murray averaged 19.5 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals while shooting 55.6 percent from the field in two games. Highlighting his week was a career-high 27-point effort in a road win at Merrimack on Saturday.

The Hounds are back in action on Tuesday night as Southern New Hampshire University visits Laska Gym for a 7:30 p.m. start.
