Easton, Mass. (October 21) -- Freshman Cassie Burbine (Londonderry, N.H. / Londonderry) of the Assumption College women's tennis team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time in her inaugural season on Tuesday. 

Burbine went a perfect 2-0 this past week competing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. The freshman helped lead the Hounds to a 9-0 shutout win over American International with her undefeated play, earning Assumption an NE-10 playoff berth while also tying the program-record seven conference victories.

Burbine teamed up with sophomore Hannah Riley (Ellington, Conn. / Ellington) this week in her No. 1 doubles win. The pair worked together for an 8-6 win over the Yellow Jackets' Ana Paula Simoes and Isabela Daudt.
