Waltham, Mass. (March 19) -- In Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon, the Assumption College men's tennis team had its three-match winning streak snapped in a 5-4 road setback at Bentley University.
Sophomore Viljami Rahnasto (Vantaa, Finland) picked up a straight-set win at No. 2 singles, while freshman Northeast-10 Player of the Week Marco Leung (International School of Macao) downed Kamil Pilch by a 6-7, 6-1, 6-1 margin in three sets at No. 3 singles.
The Hounds came out of doubles play up 2-1 as the visitors picked up hard fought victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.
The loss drops Assumption to 4-5 overall and 0-3 in the Northeast-10, while Bentley improves to 6-5 overall and remains perfect at 5-0 in league play.
Assumption returns to action on Saturday, March 22nd as the Hounds host Le Moyne for a 1 p.m. start.
