Easton, Mass. (March 20) -- On Thursday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action, the Assumption College women's tennis team fell to Stonehill College by an 8-1 final at the Charles Watts Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Hounds drop to 2-8 overall and 1-3 in the league, while Stonehill is now 12-2 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference action.

Assumption's lone victory came at No. 1 singles as freshman Hannah Riley (Ellington, Conn./Ellington) defeated Stonehill's Kirsti Toegemann by a 6-1, retired final. Toegemann is currently ranked No. 20 in the latest regional rankings.

Assumption is back in action on Monday, March 24th as the Hounds host Bentley for a 3 p.m. Northeast-10 Conference match.
