- The Lead: On Tuesday night at Laska Gym, the Assumption College men's basketball team dropped a 103-86 home final to visiting Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Hounds shot 56.9 percent from the field for the game, but the Falcons countered with a 66.7 percent shooting night in the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Sophomore Kamali Bey (Springfield, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson) led the Hounds with 22 points, along with 17 points from junior Declan Soukup (Melbourne, Australia/Hallam Senior College) and 10 points from senior Julian Aiken (Randolph, N.J./Randolph).

- Assumption forced 12 Bentley turnovers in the game while turning the ball over just six times.

- Bentley shot a blistering 55.2 percent from three-point land in the game, outscoring the Hounds 48-18 from deep in the home setback.

- Tyler McFarland led the Falcons with 29 points to go along with 27 points and nine boards from Keegan Hyland. Overall, four Falcons finished the game in double figures.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The team's battled in a closely contested first half, with the game heading to the break at 52-49 in favor of the Falcons. In the first 20 minutes, the lead went to double digits at 31-21 with 11:17 left in the half after a three from Alex Furness before the Hounds narrowed that gap quickly to three. The lead was cut to one before the visitors took the three-point edge to the break.

- In the second half, the Falcons led by double digits before Assumption eventually cut the lead to five at 81-76 with 7:08 left after a three-point play by Bey. The Hounds continued to stick close before a convincing Bentley scoring run over the final five minutes of the contest put the game out of reach.

- Assumption returns to action on Sunday, November 29th as the Hounds travel to Molloy College for a non-conference game beginning at 2:30 p.m.
