Worcester, Mass. (February 4) -- Assumption College junior Karl Ziegler (Annandale, Va./Annandale) has been named as the Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Player of the Week for his performance last week vs. Pace and Southern Connecticut.

Ziegler, who was also named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll, averaged 21 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest while also adding 1.5 assists and steals per game. Highlighting his week was a career-high 25-point effort at home vs. Southern Connecticut as the Hounds dropped a double-overtime final to the Owls.

Assumption is back in action on Wednesday, February 4th as the Hounds travel to Waltham, Mass. to take on Bentley University for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Dana Center.
