HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior Cassie Burbine (Londonderry, N.H. / Londonderry) and senior Hannah Riley (Ellington, Conn. / Ellington) teamed up to take the No. 1 doubles match by a score of 8-3 over AIC's Eleanna Fulop and Carleyah McLean.
- Burbine kept the momentum going in her No. 1 singles match, claiming a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 win against McLean.
- Sophomore Paige Benoit (Holden, Mass. / St. Peter Marian Central Catholic) and senior Kristen Carbone (Taunton, Mass. / Coyle-Cassidy) earned another point for Assumption, defeating Logan Smith and Alice Calabrese at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-0.
- Assumption freshmen Maria Monje (Worcester, Mass. / Holy Name) and Camille Latoni (San Juan, P.R. / Academia Maria Reina) each swept their singles match 6-0, 6-0 to give Assumption the full nine points.
BEHIND THE NUMBERS:
-Burbine and Riley's win at No. 1 doubles marks the third of the season for the pair.
-Riley's singles win marks her third at No. 2 while Benoit's win at No. 3 gives her three out of the third flight.
-Thursday's win extends the Greyhounds' streak to three.
