HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore Maria Monje (Worcester, Mass. / Holy Name) and freshman Valeria Sanchez (Carolina, P.R. / Colegio La Piedad) were the lone Hounds to win at doubles, as the duo won at No. 2 doubles, 8-5.
- Freshman Julia Chappell (Manchester, N.H. / Manchester Central) was victorious at No. 2 singles, beating Katie Marvin 6-2, 4-6, 7-6. Assumption then swept No. 4 through No. 6 singles to secure the win.
- Monje won out of the fourth flight, 6-7, 6-3, 6-3, before Sanchez defeated Grace Goyette at No. 5 singles 5-7, 6-2, 6-0.
- Sophomore Camille Latoni (San Juan, P.R. / Academia Maria Reina) wrapped up the win, as she won out of the sixth flight 6-1, 6-1.
