-The Lead: The Assumption College women's tennis team fell to the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Tuesday afternoon. The Hounds earned a doubles victory and a singles victory in the final 5-2 setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Senior Camille Latoni (San Juan, P.R. / Academia Maria Reina) and junior Valeria Sanchez (Carolina, P.R. / Colegio La Piedad) earned the lone doubles victory for the Hounds. They fought their way to a 6-4 final at No. 2 doubles over SNHU first years Slin Seyfettinoglu and Mina Houge.

-Junior Julia Chappell (Manchester, N.H. / Manchester Central) stood out in singles play, earning Assumption the victory at No. 1 singles over SNHU first year Magdalena Hubickova. Chappell defeated Hubickova in two sets, 6-3 and 6-1.
