- The Lead: Assumption was unable to capture a set and dropped its final home match of the season 7-0 to Southern New Hampshire, who improved to a perfect 8-0 in the NE10 with the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Assumption dropped all three doubles matches as the Penmen won all by 6-1 or 6-0 margins. Max Francis (West Barnstable, Mass. / Barnstable) and senior Reb Mariano (New London, Conn. / Saint Andrew's) fell 6-1 at No. 1 while the Hounds also went down 6-1 at No. 2
- In singles, Mariano fought at No. 2 but came up short 6-3, 6-1. Freshman Brandon Sze (South Windsor, Conn. / South Windsor) dropped his first set 6-2 at No. 3, but fought in the second set before falling 7-5. At No. 5, Jameson Keppeler (Syracuse, N.Y. / CBA Syracuse) went down by a 6-3, 6-2 score.
