-The Lead: The Assumption University women's tennis team fell to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College in their first home match of the 2021 season. Three singles matches and one douobles match were left unfinished as the two teams played to decision on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Dolphins took the doubles point with 6-2 finals in the two finished match-ups. Birdem Oz and Francesca Lilliegren defeated Assumption senior Julia Chappell (Manchester, N.H. / Manchester Central) and sophomore Cara McCormack (Worcester, Mass. / Doherty Memorial) (6-2). Fiona Pepper and Marta Nunez outlasted first year Caitlin Sze (South Windsor, Conn. / South Windsor) and sophomore Aimee Figgins (Milford, Mass. / Hopedale Jr./Sr. High School) (6-2).

-McCormack and Pepper were one of three finished singles matches. Pepper edged McCormack in the first two sets 6-4, 6-4.

-Lilliegren took the first two sets over Figgins, 6-1, 6-1.
