WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's basketball team dropped another tight contest, as they fell to Le Moyne College, 69-62 in Northeast-10 Conference action Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams struggled from the field in the opening minutes, as Isaiah Salter's floater 1:42 into the game put Le Moyne up first. The teams would trade baskets over the next few minutes, but Assumption snagged an early five points lead following a
Kani Glover three-pointer (13-8, 14:21). Down 26-24, the Dolphins closed out the first half with an 11-1 run over the final six minutes, to head into the intermission up 35-27.
Coming out of the break, the Greyhounds started to chip away at the deficit, as an Isiah Gaitor three-pointer at the 16:27 mark got the hosts within four (39-35). For every Assumption basket, Le Moyne would answer with one of their own and push their lead to ten (57-47, 8:38) following a Salter's layup. Down seven (60-53) with 5:04 remaining in regulation, Glover kickstarted a quick 7-0 run by the Greyhounds to tie the game up a 60-60, with 3:21 left. The Dolphins would go 4-for-4 from the line in the final minute to hold off Assumption, securing a 69-62 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Isiah Gaitor led the way for Assumption with 16 points, while Cooper Creek and Kani Glover added double-digit points.
- The Dolphins controlled the glass (42-29) while also outscoring the Greyhounds 34-24 in the paint.
