MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Assumption University men's basketball team comes up short on New Year's Eve, as the Greyhounds fell to Southern New Hampshire University 84-58 Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was extremely close, as neither team could establish a double-digit lead. Assumption had their largest lead was three points (5-2, 18:56), following a
Cooper Creek layup, while Southern New Hampshire had a nine-point lead (31-22) with 4:55 remaining in the half, as Matt Becht hit a three-pointer. Following that basket, the Greyhounds went on a 9-0 run to close out the half, as the visitors went 3-of-5 from the field to tie the game at 31-31.
The second half was all Southern New Hampshire, as the Penmen shot 83.3 percent from the field and was 8-of-9 (88.9 percent) from long range to pull away from Assumption.

- Kani Glover led the Greyhounds with 12 points, while Cooper Creek had five points and five rebounds.
- SNHU outscore Assumption 53-27 in the second half while outrebounding the Greyhounds 37-27.
