SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Gustaf Vilgot Albert scored two goals and assisted on another goal as the Assumption University men's soccer team doubled up American International College 4-2 in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption got on the board early, as
Gustaf Vilgot Albert had a low-angle cross into the box, where he found
Daniel Paulsson, who drove in the game's first goal, at the 15:42 marker. Vilgot Albert made it 2-0 Greyhounds, as he was freed by Paulson and scored on a breakaway.
American International got on the board when Dirk Doppen recorded his third goal of the year in the 62
nd minute, but Vilgot Albert regained the two-goal advantage for the Greyhounds a minute later. The freshman from Gotenborg, Sweden, flicked the ball up to himself before firing a bicycle kick shot under the crossbar for the highlight reel score. Assumption refused to back down, as
Vanilton Xavier recorded his first goal of the season with 7:13 remaining in regulation. The Yellow Jackets added one more score, as Christian Amaral curled in a free kick in the 90
th minute, but the 'Hounds picked up the 4-2 victory.
