ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A second-half barrage by the No. 16 ranked Assumption University women's lacrosse team leads to a 16-10 win over No. 25 Roberts Wesleyan University in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Olivia Catanzarite got the scoring started for the Greyhounds, as she scored off the
Jenna Joseph assist at 10:28. After the Redhawks got on the board at the 9:00 minute marker, Joseph fed
Kyle Johnston, who put the guests up 2-1 after one quarter.
Roberts Wesleyan opened the second quarter with back-to-back goals to go up 3-2. That was short-lived, as
Ella Tenney and
Molly Weiand regained the lead for the Greyhounds. The two teams would trade goals for the remainder of the first half, yet the hosts would carry a 6-5 lead into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Assumption grabbed complete control of the contest, as they outscored Roberts Wesleyan 4-1 in the frame, with Isabella Edwards,
Grace Chicko, and Catanzarite recording scores. The Greyhounds carried their momentum into the fourth, opening up the final quarter with a 4-0 run, which included goals from Johnston, Catanzarite, Edwards, and
Isabella Jackson to go up 13-7, three minutes in. The two teams would trade the remaining goals down the stretch, with Assumption coming out on top, 16-10.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Skylar Troyan recorded eight saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Olivia Catanzarite and Isabella Edwards each recorded four goals, while Jenna Joseph had five assists.
- Roberts Wesleyan outshot the visitors 30-29, and the Greyhounds won 16-of-30 draw controls, with Isabella Edwards winning ten of them.
