WALTHAM, Mass. – The Assumption University men's soccer team dropped their final tune-up before Northeast-10 Conference action begins, as they fell to Bentley University 1-0 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon action at the Bentley Football Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After Assumption had an early chance to score early on as a
Peter Hasund shot just missed left of the Bentley goal. The Greyhounds would eventually have the first shot on goal, as
Timothy Tkacz' attempt was saved by the Falcons' netminder. The two teams would continue to have limited chances as both backlines stood strong. The Greyhounds would outshoot the Falcons 6-4 while also having three corners to just two for Bentley through 45 minutes.
The Falcons would open the second half with an excellent scoring opportunity, as Johann Fraser just missed the near post, leading to an Assumption goal kick. Bentley got on the board when Evan Levine chipped the through ball over the charging Greyhound netminder. The Greyhounds nearly responded immediately, as a bicycle kick attempt from
Daniel Paulsson missed the target. In the 62
nd minute,
Vegard Pernes had a grade-A scoring opportunity within the box, but he just pulled the ball past the near post. Despite the late chances by the Greyhounds, the Falcons would come away with the home win.
