HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE – Assumption University 2, Southern Connecticut State University 1

In the bottom half of the frame, the Greyhounds got two runs in scoring position with just one out in the inning, but the Southern Connecticut pitcher Jessica Perucki got a strikeout and a ground out to keep the game scoreless.
The Owls would once again load the bases in the top of the fifth inning and get one run, thanks to a 1-2-3 inning-ending double play. The Greyhounds tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning when
Summer Sheerin beat out an infield hit to shortstop, scoring
Lauren Geremia on the play.
Kaelin Waldron got the start for the Greyhounds, as she allowed one run in 4.1 innings while striking out five.
