WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 16 nationally ranked Assumption University men's soccer team suffered its first loss in its home opener, falling 6-2 to Felician University. The defeat brings the two teams' all-time series to an even 2-2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Felician struck first just 2:41 into the match, with Lorenzo Ferrari scoring his first goal of the season, assisted by Manuel Otero. Assumption responded in the 25th minute when
Dylan Wesley netted his first goal of the season off a setup from
Cody Holbert, leveling the score at 1-1. The Greyhounds took a 2-1 lead in the 40th minute, with
Brady Devos converting a penalty kick.
The second half saw the Golden Falcons take control. A penalty kick by Nic Robinson in the 47th minute tied the game at 2-2. Felician then added four more goals: Lorenzo Ferrari's second of the match at 63:27, an own goal by Assumption at 65:21, and two strikes from Shuntaro Moritomoto, including his second goal in the 89th minute.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Felician outshot Assumption 24-14, with a 13-8 advantage in shots on goal.
- Both teams received four yellow cards, but the Hound's Kian Charris was also handed a red card.
- Guests committed ten fouls to the host's seven and were flagged for offside five times to Assumption's zero.
