HOW IT HAPPENED
A messy defensive turnover inside the Greyhounds penalty box led to an opening goal for the Royals in the 4th minute when Miguel Soto Gonzalez cleaned up with a close shot.
William Rakkenes leveled the score in the 18th minute off a
Cody Holbert cross, and three minutes later, Holbert found the net himself with help from
Isac Williamson, making it 2-1 for Assumption. Queens equalized in the 21st minute with a beautiful sequence, finishing with a cross to a right-footed blast by Soto Gonzalez.
As the second half began, Assumption pulled ahead. In the 56th minute, Williamson fired a low shot into the left corner. The Hounds would hold off the charging Knights for the remainder, securing Heimreid's first win in charge.
