RINDGE, N.H.— The Assumption University men's basketball team continued their road dominance, as the Greyhounds picked up a 94-88 Northeast-10 Conference win at Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption started fast, as Tayshawn Cunningham-Pemberton got the Greyhounds going, scoring 10-of-13 points in the opening five minutes of the game. The Hounds continued to slowly pull away, as
Jamal Barnes nailed a three-pointer, putting Assumption up 39-27 with 4:45 remaining in the first half. Franklin Pierce would not go quietly, as they went on a 12-5 run down the first half stretch to draw within five (44-39), heading into the intermission.
In the second half, Franklin Pierce had an intense first five minutes, as they tied the game at 53-53, but
Noah Payne and
Baril Mawo each scored four points as Assumption pulled back away to go up 61-53. The Ravens would attempt to make a comeback but would only get within three (91-88), but the Hounds would hit a pair of free throws to secure a 94-88 road win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton led the Greyhounds with a career-high 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting, adding six rebounds, two steals, and an assist.
- Baril Mawo (19), Njavan Stewart (16), Daouda Dembele (13), and Jamal Barnes (12) added secondary scoring for the Hounds.
- Assumption outrebounded Franklin Pierce 44-37 while also outscoring the hosts 26-4 on fastbreak points.
- The Greyhounds improved to 10-1 on the road this season.
- Franklin Pierce leads the all-time series 28-17.
