COLONIE, N.Y.– The Assumption University men's soccer team saw their nine-game losing streak come to an end, as the Greyhounds played to a 2-2 tie against D'Youville University in a neutral-site contest at Afrim's Sports Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
D'Youville was the first team to score, as Frederick Balmforth scored in the 25
th minute.
Henrik Maehlum scored the equalizer for Assumption in the 34
th minute, as he scored off the assist from
Isac Williamson. The Greyhounds went in front late, as
Evan Fletcher drove in the go-ahead goal off
Axel Gerremo's rebounded shot. With just seconds left in regulation, Asier Fernandez tied the game with a free-kick goal, making the final score 2-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Cathal Carney recorded seven saves for the Greyhounds.
- D'Youville outshot Assumption 11-6, while the Saints doubled the Hounds in corner kicks, 8-4.
- This was the first meeting between the two programs.
