LAKEWOOD, N.J.—The Assumption University softball team pushed their winning streak to four games as they completed the Sunday sweep of Georgian Court University 10-6 and 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Assumption University 10, Georgian Court University 6
Assumption started strong out of the gates, as they plated seven runs in the top of the first inning, with
Emma Bloom coming through with a bases-clearing double to left field, driving in three to make it 6-0 with just one out. Georgian Court would plate two runs in the bottom of the second to get on the board.
The Greyhounds answered with one in the top of the third, as Bloom doubled home
Raigan Gregoire on the play. After the hosts struck for two in the bottom of the fourth, the two teams would trade the final four runs for a 10-6 final score.
Paige Cote picked up her second win of the year, while
Anna Tassone earned the save.
Game Two Score: Assumption University 6, Georgian Court University 1
The Greyhounds would have to wait until the second inning to get on the board, as Janelli Pratt drove in
Molly Green before
Kaylee Lacomb scored on a sacrifice fly from Bloom. Georgian Court cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the second before
Maddy Bland drove in Kaitlyn Cahih with a single to the left side of the infield.
The Hounds added three more runs at the top of the fourth, as Alyssa Johnston and Bland recorded RBI in the frame.
Kaelin Waldron would silence the GCU bats as she went the distance, striking out eight.
