WORCESTER, Mass.—The Assumption University softball team drops a pair of games to Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference action Thursday afternoon at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Bentley University 6, Assumption University 5
Assumption was the first team to score, as
Alyssa Johnson recorded a two-RBI infield single in the bottom of the second. Bentley responded with authority, as they struck for six runs on five hits in the top of the third to go up 6-2. The Greyhounds cut the deficit in half, as
Maddy Bland and
Molly Green recorded back-to-back doubles to left center to make it 6-4 heading into the late innings.
In the top of the sixth,
Kaitlyn Cahill drove in the fifth run of the day for the Hounds with an RBI ground out to third. Assumption would get the game-tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh, but a game-ending double play snapped the Greyhounds' seven-game winning streak.
Ashley Dalo established career-highs in innings pitched (4.0), and strikeouts (3) in relief for Assumption.
Game Two Score: Bentley University 6, Assumption University 3
Bentley jumped out to an early lead, as they plated one run in the first and one in the third to go up 2-0. The Falcons would maintain their lead until the bottom of the fifth, when
Naomi Cohen doubled home Mia Bincamano before a
Molly Green sacrifice fly plated two runs, putting the hosts up 3-2.
The Assumption lead would not last long, as the visitors scored four times in the top of the sixth to come away with the 6-3 final score.
