WORCESTER, Mass. – After going a perfect 6-0 in his first week of action,
Luca Figueiredo was named the Northeast 10 Conference Men's Tennis player and rookie of the week honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Figueiredo went 6-0 on No. 12 Assumption's spring break trip to Hilton Head. Early in the week, he swept his matches at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles in a win over Saint Francis. He won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles against Mount Vernon Nazarene and 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Against No. 30 Augusta, he won at No. 2 doubles 6-0 and was leading 7-6, 1-2 when the match was called. Figueiredo capped off the week with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles against No. 15 Tiffin and 2-6, 7-5, 10-7 at No. 2 singles.
