DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The Assumption University softball team fell in their Spring Break finale, as they dropped a 1-0 decision against Caldwell University, Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Caldwell was the first team to get on the board, as they scored on a run on two errors by the Assumption defense. The Greyhounds got their first base runner in the top of the third, as
Jaida Mills reached first on a bunt single.
Assumption threatened in the top of the seventh, as they got runners on second and third with two outs in the frame, but the Cougars got a pop up to the shortstop to end the game.
Kaelin Waldron takes the loss, despite striking out four batters, scattering four hits, and allowing just one unearned run.
