WORCESTER, Mass. – Four Assumption University spring sport programs have been announced to be in the regional rankings, as both tennis programs and men's lacrosse have joined the men's golf team in the running for NCAA playoff spots.
Men's Tennis
The Greyhounds were as high as No. 12 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings earlier this season, and they currently sport a 10-8 overall record and a 7-2 record in Northeast 10 Conference action. This is the Hounds' second-straight 10+ win season, and the first time that they have done that since the 2005-06/2006-07 seasons.
Women's Tennis
Surpassed the 10+ win mark for the third straight season, as they are 14-9 this season, while also going 8-3 in NE10 action. Their eight wins in league play are the most since the 2017-18 campaign, where they won nine.
Men's Lacrosse
The Hounds finished up the regular season with a 10-4 overall record and a 5-3 record in NE10 action. Their ten wins are tied for a program record, while they also locked up a Northeast 10 Conference first-round playoff game for the second straight season.
Men's Golf
The Blue and White are ranked second in the East Region, only sitting behind Adelphi. The Hounds are coming off back-to-back wins in New Hampshire, as they won the Hawks Invitational at Candia Woods Golf Course and the Penmen Spring Invitational at Derryfield Country Club earlier this week.
