NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Assumption University outdoor track and field team finished in fourth place on the men's side, while the women finished in sixth, after the final day of the 2026 Northeast 10 Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Jess Dow Field, on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Craig Gnatek (14.77m) started the scoring on the second day for the Greyhounds with a fifth-place finish in the men's shot put, while
Tucker Walker (7
th – 14.42m) and
Joshua Castello (8
th – 14.31m) also earned points.
Aubrey Thibault (10.55m) placed seventh in the women's triple jump, while
Ryan Araujo (14.14m) took second on the men's side. In the men's discus, Gnatek (42.52m) just missed out on a podium finish with his fourth-place throw, while
Will Pessina (5
th – 42.40m) and Walker (7
th - 41.26m) also scored.
Sarah Trumm won the women's high jump with a personal best of 1.60m.
On the track,
Jake Ferrare (9:59.75) finished fourth in the 3000m steeplechase, with Joshua Phinney (10:18.50) placing seventh. On the women's side,
Rose Connolly (11:11.43) had a personal best time, as she took second. In the men's 110m hurdles final,
Torrence Borletto-McCray (15.72) finished sixth, while
Katrina Sullivan (14.58) took third in the women's 100m hurdles.
DJ Chaudhry (48.37) finished fifth in the men's 400m final, while
Jada McCown (58.88) took home bronze on the women's end. The Greyhounds' duo of
Jalen Smith-Phillip (10.75) and
Joel Spaulding (10.84) finished third and fourth in the men's 100m.
Will Farley ran a personal best in the men's 800m final (1:54.94) for a fifth-place finish, while
Parker Thompson (1:56.14) was right behind him with a sixth-place finish. In the women's running of the 800m,
Michaella Namiotka (2:27.28) finished seventh. In the men's 400m hurdles,
Luke Lamar (54.66) garnered five points with his fourth-place finish, while Smith-Phillip (21.74) finished sixth in the men's 200m.
Kyle Martin was the lone scorer for Assumption in the men's 5000m (15:26.45), while Connolly (18:34.78) finished fourth on the women's side.
In the relays, the Men's 4x100m grouping of Smith-Phillip, Chaudhry, Lamar, and Spaulding (41.36) finished fourth, while on the women's side,
Zoe Wodja,
Hannah Keeney,
Rylie McDonough, and Sullivan (49.05) took sixth. In the women's 4x400m, Keeney, Namiotka,
Mara Keane, and McCown (4:10.15) finished sixth, while the men's quad of
Kenneth Pyburn,
Elliot Kelly,
Benjamin Parson, and Chaudhry (3:17.44) took fourth.
