Men's Tennis has returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Assumption University men's tennis team is heading to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time since 2007, as the Greyhounds will compete in the NCAA Division II East Regional against Queens College of New York.

Per NCAA Regulations, no parent passes or complimentary passes will be accepted. 
More information about tickets will be released later in the week. 
 
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 
  • Luigi Bassani and Luca Figueiredo were named to the All-NE10 First Team No. 2 Doubles team, while Michele Elia, Igor Kubalka, Bassani, Herman Aguirre, and Alec Pijnacker were all named to the All-NE10 Second Team. 
  • This is the ninth NCAA appearance in program history, and the first time since 2007. 
  • Assumption fell in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship to Adelphi University 4-0. 
  • The Greyhounds have won 12 games this season, the most since they won 17 in the 2006-07 campaign. 
  • Assumption is 5-8 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. 
 
POD INFORMATION  WHAT'S NEXT
  • The preliminary round is Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12, with the championship set for Saturday, May 22. The finals will be held in Surprise, Arizona, hosted by Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.
