FLUSHING, N.Y. — The Assumption University women's tennis team's historic season has come to a close, as the Greyhounds fell to Wilmington University of Delaware, 4-0, in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Tournament at Queens College Tennis Center

Wilmington started strong, as they won No. 3 doubles 6-4, before Assumption responded with a 6-4 win at top-flight doubles by
Marian Aguirre and
Darja Trinerova. The Wildcats would take the doubles point following a 7-6 win at No. 2.
In singles action, Wilmington grabbed their second point of the day as it captured No. 1 singles. The Wildcats would pick up wins at No. 3 singles and No. 2 to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 4-0 sweep.
