NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Assumption University men's tennis team was voted to finish third in the Northeast 10 Conference men's tennis coaches preseason poll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Adelphi earned the top spot in the poll with 15 points and three first-place votes, while SNHU (13 points) and Assumption (11 points) finished second and third, respectively. Saint Michael's (6 points) was fourth, and Franklin Pierce (5 points) was fifth.
Assumption, which earned a share of the regular season title last year, advanced to the NE10 Championship match for the first time since 2007. The Greyhounds have won a record nine NE10 Championship titles in program history.
The Greyhounds open on Saturday, September 5th, in North Easton, as they will compete in the Stonehill Doubles Tournament. The NE10 Championship is played in the spring.
