WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University Athletics heads into a busy first full week of September, with eight programs in action from Tuesday through Sunday. Football and Field hockey open their 2026 campaigns, cross country begins its season in Connecticut, while women's soccer, men's soccer and women's volleyball continue non-conference action.
The week is highlighted by football's season opener on Thursday night, as the Greyhounds welcome No. 3 Kutztown University to Brian Kelly '83 Stadium. Field hockey, ranked No. 7 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Preseason Coaches Poll, opens with a challenging Pennsylvania road trip against No. 5 West Chester and No. 4 East Stroudsburg.
